April is World Autism Acceptance Month….
but here at ASPIE, everyone is either on the spectrum or has a connection to someone on the spectrum. We all live with the condition 24 hours a day! So, as well as understanding the complexities, we promote the positives and seek to improve relationships between the neurodiverse and the neurotypical, not just during April, but every week and month throughout every year.
Many on the spectrum are unfairly disadvantaged and marginalised in education and employment opportunities so we were pleased to be invited, for our experience and expertise, to take part in Sir Robert Buckland’s autism employment survey and being acknowledged as a contributor in the Buckland Report published in February this year.
