Worcestershire Community Connect event in the Chapter House
This was well worth attending. Community Catalysts, The Dean and Worcester Uni provided a brilliant opportunity to help raise the profile of ASPIE and WITS-END WIZARDRY and other micro -enterprises in Worcestershire. Lizzie, Richard and I mixed and mingled.
It was a pleasure to meet and talk to Sian, Chief Executive of Community Catalysts, The Dean, Cllr Ian Hopwood and The Mayor and Mayoress of Worcester Cllr Roger Knight and Mrs Freda Knight.
We were also approached by teachers and social workers and able to give them information about ASPIE to pass on to Asperger students and parents and family members of aspies.
And we’ve contacted Your Life Your Choice to promote WITS-END WIZARDRY’s next web design course.
As a result of the afternoon we have set up a meeting with Morag Edmondson of Healthwatch to discuss Worcestershire’s Autism Strategy.
We caught up with Kay of Care Ceramics who is arranging our art exhibition and also Hazel and Laura from the Monday night club and discussed with them, among other things, football matches between their team and ASPIE AVENGERS.
And we’ve been offered cricket tasters for our members! Please let me know if this is of interest.
