Worcester Soup
As the winner of the first Worcester Soup we were invited to their second get together on Sunday 6 December to give an update on ASPIE AVENGERS:
THE TEAM was formed in May this year.
We train at KGV every Wednesday and have a permanent booking helped by Worcester Soup and donations. When I told Worcester Community Trust that we need a pitch for the foreseeable future they’ve booked us in until May 2018!!!
Their faith is reassuring and comforting.
Under our own coach, Will, the team has transformed to being co-ordinated with good communication.
Jack Rutter, who is to captain a team at the Paralympics in Rio next year has recognised the team’s potential and put the team through its paces twice so far!
Following our success at Worcester Soup I was interviewed by Radio Hereford and Worcester and there were reports about Worcester Soup and our success in the Worcester News and Berrows Journal.
Membership of the team has increased and now includes a 14 year old.
We’ve been visited by the director of Worcester City FC and invited to a future game. We’ve won 5 out of 6 league games and are third in the league. The team now has a new away strip, in bright red and white.
ASPIE AVENGERS has its own website – http://www.aspieavengers.org/
We have a sponsor – great for PR!
A brilliant start for a brilliant team!
