A few things to say about ASPIE, 9 years old September 2020!!!
A parent has just donated his £25 winnings from the Worcester Lottery to ASPIE. Very welcome as we continue to run Online ASPIE as well as our social group but with reduced income. ASPIE is unique in having permanent premises, offers friendship, support and counselling on a weekly and sometimes daily basis. The cost is approximately £1,300 per year per member. If any aspie (or parent of an aspie) feels they have received extra special help, particularly over this very difficult period, please make a donation so that we can continue to act as a lifeline to many aspies for whom there is very little support elsewhere.
The Princes Trust is starting a new programme in Worcestershire. It’s for 16-25 year olds, over 12 weeks and has helped many young people into education and employment. Details in the office.
Aid4Aspergers offers grants to individuals to help with items needed in connection with education or employment. Please see their website for application form.
Opportunity to learn judo, an excellent form of self defence, with other ASPIE members. Currently 6pm Fridays, Foregate Street, Worcester. Jake has all the gen.
