Actor Jack Hyde visits ASPIE

We were delighted to welcome actor, Jack Hyde, to ASPIE on Wednesday 12 November. Here’s what he had to say about his visit:

Hey guys! Just had my interview at Aspie; a group therapy organisation that helps, supports and provides a voice for those diagnosed with Asperger’s! There I got to share my experiences living with Asperger’s both as a person and actor, what it was like being Sam (a leading person/character who is on the autistic spectrum) in the recent horror film, Lazuzu, and advice that I would give to those wanting to be actors themselves! What really inspired me was how talented these people are. Not just in drama/acting but in different forms of sports and arts! Aspie really does incredible work and provides people not just a place of comfort but also a place where they can allow their talent to shine based on their skills and show them to the public. Listening to some of their stories (including Jess’) really made my day. I’m so proud of them of their courage and emotional and mental strength. The questions they are were really good and, hopefully, my answers were helpful for them. I’m hoping to pay another visit one day. So glad I went. Especially during the month of November (the month of spreading awareness on men’s mental health). Also, major thanks to Darren Goodwin of Frenchie Flicks for arranging this for me. Hopefully, I’ll do more interviews like this. Will keep you guys posted on the video interview! Thanks!
