Do you have views on how services are commissioned for people with autism?
At ASPIE we hear from people from all over the UK about the lack of appropriate services for people on the autistic spectrum and we constantly campaign for more understanding and better services for people with Asperger’s which includes regularly attending Worcestershire County Council’s Autism Partnership Board Meetings.
They are arranging a bespoke workshop for both Herefordshire and Worcestershire Autism Partnership Boards on Tuesday 28th September 11-1 hosted by Richard Keble, Project Lead for NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire CCG. The purpose of the workshop will be to understand the kind of services which autistic people might like commissioned, and the expectations about how these are delivered. This will inform how a full specification is developed. Please can people register an interest in attending the workshop by emailing AutismGroups@worcestershire.gov.uk by the 8th September 2021 as numbers will be limited to approximately 30 people. Worcestershire County Council will provide details after 8th September about who will be able to attend, the agenda and location of the meeting.
I have already expressed my interest. I hope some of you will join me.
