Mayor and Mayoress of Worcester Charity Dinner 29 April 2022

As you may know, it was the Mayor and Mayoress’s Charity Dinner Friday night, a red carpet event attended by mayors and their consorts from most Worcestershire towns, many councillors and other guests. Richard, John and I were seated at the top table with Stephen and Lucy (Mayor and Mayoress) Robin Walker, MP for Worcester, The High Sheriff of Worcester and Lord Faulkener of Worcester. There were about 100 guests which helps raise awareness of ASPIE and more understanding of Asperger’s. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes at the Guildhall in arranging, gathering support from local businesses and promoting all the events for the charities of the year and I was pleased to be able to play a small part.The Charity Dinner was a highly enjoyable evening, good food, good company and lots of kindness and generosity towards ASPIE and the Stroke Association. A sincere thankyou to everyone involved. I’m hoping Cllrs Stephen and Lucy Hodgson will be able to come and visit us before too long so that we can thank them in person.
