ASPIE’s football team, ASPIE AVENGER’s, seek sponsors after double win
ASPIE AVENGERS FC, back in form, beating the backlash of the pandemic and storming to victory, repeating their successes in 2018 by again winning this season’s 3 Counties Ability Counts League and the Sandwell Inclusion League Premier Play-Off at Portway on Sunday 12 June 2022.
Coach and Welfare Officer Sam Watkins reported it was a great day on Sunday for ASPIE AVENGERS as they beat off competition from Aston Villa, West Bromwich Albion and Redditch United amongst others. The team were outstanding, defending brilliantly whilst playing fast passing football. It’s an absolute pleasure to be coaching and managing these players alongside Dale Evans, a great friend and an absolute top man.
As a club we are looking for sponsors as we move forwards into next season. ASPIE AVENGERS FC provides inclusive football and mentoring to adults with autism (and various other disabilities). We currently have around 18 players turning up to our weekly sessions. Some of our players compete competitively whilst others work to improve their physical and mental health. New members welcome.
